This sterling silver ballet dancer was actually derived from a pink plastic figure my maternal grandmother had at her house. My sisters and I loved to play with these pink people, including members of a symphony orchestra (also rendered in pink plastic). Dad made this for us, his creed as an "original" artist suspended for a moment to accommodate our passion for these pink people.
